Awakening Potential, Nurturing Spirits:

Jenn Ayres’ Quest for Enlightened Education.

My journey as an educator has been fueled by a deep love for learning, a passion for nurturing the innate potential in every child, and a commitment to creating a world where education is a magical, life-affirming experience.

Graduating high school at 16, I embarked on an academic path that led me to a BA in Education, followed by a graduate degree in Critical and Creative Thinking. By age 20, I was already shaping young minds as a public school teacher, a role I embraced for a decade. During this period, I furthered my expertise with a Masters in Curriculum Design, a field that continues to captivate me.

However, as the years passed, I realized that traditional education settings did not fully resonate with my vision. Seeking a new path, I ventured into the world of professional photography, where I found immense joy and honed my entrepreneurial spirit. Yet, the call of education remained strong, especially after becoming a parent to three wonderful children.

My journey into Waldorf Education began as a quest for a nurturing and magical learning environment for my own children. This led me to create a Waldorf-inspired homeschooling pod, blending my educational insights with the enchanting principles of Waldorf pedagogy.

Moving to Florida in 2022, I saw the need for a Waldorf presence in Ormond Beach and was inspired to establish the Sunrise School of Ormond Beach. This school is more than an educational institution; it’s a beacon of hope and a testament to the belief in a nurturing, respectful, and spiritually enriching education that honors the sanctity of childhood.

I envision the Sunrise School as a community where children are treasured for their unique gifts and where families come together to create a future rooted in love, respect, and the joy of learning. Hand in hand, we walk boldly toward a future that cherishes and uplifts the spirit of every child!

Thank you for joining us on this remarkable journey. Together, we are shaping a world where education is not just a process of learning, but a celebration of life itself.
